Abstract

This paper describes the fundamentals of the design, the steps followed in the development, and the results obtained from the commissioning of a brain computer interface fully implemented in an embedded system using the motor imagery paradigm. The relevant characteristics of this development are portability, reduced size and low consumption, comparing it with other systems implemented in personal computers or non-dedicated systems. The project is a proof of concept of the system, to verify its performance. This performance was technically evaluated by analyzing the response to known inputs of the constituent blocks of the system and finally a preliminary functional test of the entire brain computer interface was performed.
