Mobile Application for Remote Patient Monitoring.
AbstractCardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) an estimated 23.6 million people will die by 2030 from this cause. The main challenge of health-focused science and technology is to achieve a variety of timely diagnostic methods that are more accessible and more far-reaching for society. This paper deals with the design of a mobile application based on the Blynk platform, in which heart rate and oxygen saturation in the blood are monitored. These signals are acquired via a portable electronic device synchronized via Wi-Fi to the mobile application, in order to reduce patient care times and thus minimize mortality levels of cardiovascular diseases.
