Wearable system for the measurement of pulse oximetry and heart rate on the wrist

Abstract

This work presents the design of a pulse oximetry and heart rate sensor that can be wear on the wrist. This is based on the optical reflection method, which allows it to be implemented as a wearable sensor. The design is based on the SFH7050 sensor, the CC2650 microcontroller and de AFE4400 front-end and it has Bluetooth Low Energy communication. The acquired signals are processed in MatLab® and are shown on a user interface.
